Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account and personal data for Seeky and Seeky for Seekers, provided by Seeky Ltd.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Seeky or Seeky for Seekers and sign in.
  2. Go to Account > Delete account (in the iOS Seeky for Seekers app: You > Delete my account).
  3. Read the confirmation and confirm that you want to delete your account.

If you have visits booked or in progress, finish or cancel them first, then try again.

Once confirmed successfully, your account is closed immediately and your sign-in sessions are revoked. If you are a Seeker, you are taken offline. Deleting the app from your phone alone does not delete your account.

Request deletion without the app

Use this form to request deletion of your account and its personal data. We will verify that the account belongs to you before fulfilling your request.

Email privacy@seeky.co.uk with the subject “Delete my Seeky account”. Include the email address or phone number linked to your account and say whether you use Seeky or Seeky for Seekers. You can ask us to delete both your account and its personal data this way, even if you cannot sign in.

We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before removing data. Do not send your password or identity documents with your request.

What happens to your data, and when

Closing your account stops access immediately. It does not immediately erase every record. To request removal of the personal data associated with your account, use the form or email the address above. We respond within one calendar month, explaining what has been removed, what must be kept and any lawful reason for a delay.

When we fulfil a data deletion request, we delete personal data that we have no legal duty to keep, including your messages, device details and location pings. We remove or anonymise your profile and contact details, and unlink analytics from your account.

We retain only records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, payment and payout records for tax and accounting, and relevant safety and audit records. Financial records are retained for seven years. Other legally required records are kept only for the period required by the applicable obligation, including any legal hold, then deleted or anonymised. These records are not used to keep your account active.
